Armenian Seasoning – a blend of spices and herbs traditionally used in Armenian cuisine for preparing meat dishes with pork, beef, poultry, and lamb.**
25 g of seasoning is enough for preparing 1.5 kg of meat.
For baking, rub the meat with the seasoning and leave to marinate for 45-60 minutes.
For stewing, add the seasoning to taste 5 minutes before the dish is ready.
Armenian-style Shashlik
Ingredients:
- Pork – 1.5 kg
- Tomatoes – 0.5 kg
- Eggplants – 0.5 kg
- Bell peppers – 0.5 kg
- Onion – 1 pc
- Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Seasoning @iris.seasonings “Armenian” – 25 g
- Salt to taste
- Preparation:
- Cut the pork into pieces weighing 70-80 g, and slice the vegetables into rings.
- Prepare the marinade: mix the seasoning, vegetable oil, lemon juice, and salt.
- Pour the prepared marinade over the meat and vegetables and mix well. Leave to marinate for 2-3 hours.
- Cook the marinated meat and vegetables on skewers over hot coals until done.
