Dried “Green Onion, Dill, Parsley” – a mix of the most popular Ukrainian greens.
This is a universal seasoning used in almost every dish.
It is added to soups, broths, and borscht, as well as to meat and fish dishes, side dishes, salads, and sauces.
Onion Pie
Ingredients:
• Butter – 150 g, • Flour – 250 g, • Sour cream – 400 g, • Onion – 500 g, • Vegetable oil – 50 g, • “Green Onion, Dill, Parsley” mix – 3 tsp, • Eggs – 3 pcs, • Hard cheese – 100 g, • Black pepper, nutmeg, salt – to taste.
Preparation:
Mix cold butter, flour, and salt. Add 200 g of sour cream, knead the dough, and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Slice the onion into thin half-rings and lightly fry in oil. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg, and the “Green Onion, Dill, Parsley” mix. For the filling, mix 200 g of sour cream and eggs. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm and place it in a baking dish, making edges from the dough. Place the cooled onion on the dough and pour the filling over it. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 180-190°C. Enjoy your meal!
